Mangalore, one of the fast growing cities in South India is the headquarters of Dakshina Kannada District. The city is a mixture of the old world charm and modern sophistication. It is situated on the west coast of the country on the Arabian Sea, with the Western Ghats to Mangalore's east.Formed by the Nethravathi and Gurpur rivers, it has long been a roadstead along the Malabar Coast.
